Lee Singer grew up in Minneapolis but now lives in Petaluma, California with her partner and two dogs. She began her writing career as a reporter in Chicago where she met many famous people, at least two of whom were murdered.

She teaches fiction writing and does manuscript consulting on literary and mainstream novels in every genre, from memoir to mystery and sci-fi. Several of her clients have gone on to become published authors.

Writing, teaching writing, and consulting about writing take a lot of time, but she plans to get her easel and paints out again sometime soon.
